The Mynx sealant consists of freeze dried polyethylene glycol (PEG). When delivered to the tissue tract, the Mynx sealant instantly swells 3-4 times its size becoming 5% PEG and 95% blood and fluids absorbed from the arteriotomy.



The conformable, porous sealant provides immediate hemostasis, independent of clot formation. As blood then collects inside the sealant, it clots, providing a platform for natural vessel healing.
