The Mynx Vascular Closure Device

The Mynx Vascular Closure Device represents a new approach to vascular closure. Designed with patient comfort in mind, the Mynx offers a new solution to help minimize the pain commonly associated with vascular closure.

Gentle Deployment for Patient Comfort
In the past, patients often described the closure as the most painful part of their cardiovascular procedure. Other closure devices use metal or animal-based implants, which require tugging and cinching during deployment. This can cause significant pain to the patient and often necessitates additional pain medication during the procedure.

The Mynx, however, uses a soft, bio-absorbable, sponge-like material, rather than a suture or permanent metal implant, to seal the femoral artery after cardiovascular procedures. This sealant material is called PEG, or Polyethylene Glycol, and is also used safely in a wide range of other medical applications such as gel caps and eye drops.
