The Bengal Radial Compression Band
was developed in partnership with radial access pioneer Olivier F. Bertrand, MD, to address unmet needs in radial closure.
Unlike other radial compression devices, the Bengal Band was designed to provide consistent operator control of the device and comfortable compression of the radial artery for the patient, while protecting the ulnar artery and nerve. The simple one-size-fits-all device includes a fully adjustable compression band that does not require a syringe or extra gauze.
Direct Operator Control
The Bengal Band utilizes a straightforward design that optimizes manual control of the device throughout deployment, adjustment, and removal of the band.
Designed for Patent Hemostasis
The unique shape of the compression adaptor on the Bengal Band is designed to facilitate patent hemostasis of the radial artery, while protecting the ulnar artery and nerve. Patent hemostasis, or non-occlusive compression, has been shown to reduce the incidence of radial artery occlusions post-procedure.¹
The Bengal Band kit contains:
- An adjustable bracelet with a clear polymer compression pad
- A compression adaptor for either right or left wrists, and small wrists
- A sterile gauze pad
